The human psyche responds to trauma in a multitude of ways. In the academy award-winning film Pan’s Labyrinth, directed by Guillermo del Toro and set during the Spanish Civil War, we are pulled into a world that depicts the richly imaginative response of a young girl to the violence that surrounds her, and we witness the psyche’s resources for survival in the midst of profound suffering. ...More »

Introduction to Sandplay
An introductory course on Sandplay will be offered in Dallas this spring by teaching member of Sandplay Threrapists of America, Joe Meyer of Wisconsin, and clinical member Jacquelyn Kelley of Plano.
Sandplay, as developed by Dora M. Kalff, is a nonverbal therapeutic process based on the psychology of C.G. Jung. The path to individuation, as understood in Jungian psychology, becomes visible in the symbolic expression of the Sandplay. Through the free and protected space provided, the individual can penetrate the depths of the personality and experience aspects of the Self. From this ground, a more naturally balanced relationship between the ego and the Self manifests, enabling one to live life more consciously and authentically.
Time and location will be determined soon. If interested, please contact Jacquelyn at Jkelley200@aol.com or 469-667-9413.
Clinical Supervision
Tanya Kuschnitzky, LPC-S (newlevelcounseling.com), is offering clinical supervision to LPC interns. Please call 214-695-8096 for more information.
Case Colloquium:
Jungian Analyst Dr. Ron Schenk, Ph.D., facilitates an ongoing case colloquium for therapists interested in sharpening and maintaining their listening skills. The work provides an integrated perspective emphasizing close listening, issues of transference/countertransference, dream interpretation, and the intersubjectival space.
The group meets every other Wednesday, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. For more information, please call 214-360-0577.
